Trail Lake Lodge is just down the block with a full-service restaurant and bar, open from 8 am to 9 pm for dinner, later for drinks. The owner is a retired Marine helicopter pilot who enjoys visiting with our students.

Estes Brothers, across the street from Trail Lake Lodge, is a mom-n-pop store with espresso, freshly made-to-order deli sandwiches, and convenience food. You can always bring your sandwich back and enjoy it at the picnic table near the lake, or on the covered deck off the pilot study room.

There are other cafes and restaurants about 20 minutes from us in Cooper Landing, and about 30 minutes away in Seward.

A microwave, small fridge, and toaster oven are in the pilot study room for your use. Also, my wife tries to do a BBQ once a week and everyone is invited.
